Increase the chance a gobbler will see your decoys by placing them in open areas, such as pastures, agricultural fields, powerlines, or clearings. Tom turkeys often skirt the fringes of openings to look for hens, so make sure a hill doesn't block a turkey's view as it approaches. Additionally, it's safer for you if another hunter approaches and can identify your decoy.
